The Case Management Acuity Scale is an evidence-based tool that helps case management teams determine the level of care, monitoring, and management that the client is likely to need at that point in their care. This tool will help identify clients who experience extreme difficulty with staying in care. In October 2021, the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) released Policy Change Notification (PCN) 21-02 which provided guidance for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) recipients and subrecipients for determining client eligibility and complying with the payor of last resort requirements.
