At TriYoung, we believe great software starts with great people. That’s why we’re so excited to welcome Roy Carubba, our new Senior Software Engineer, to the team!
Roy’s journey into development began in 2001, helping to launch a fledgling programming company from the back room of a house. As that company grew into a national health tech presence, Roy rose with it—eventually serving as lead developer for RW CAREWare. For over a decade, he guided the entire development process, from gathering client input and drafting design documents, to coding, testing, and server deployment.
After wrapping up his time at jProg in 2023, Roy founded his own successful consulting firm, staying deeply connected to the healthcare space. That work included collaborating with HRSA’s HAB DISQ team and serving as a development consultant for TriYoung. His contributions were immediate, innovative, and impactful—so when we had the opportunity to bring Roy on staff permanently, we jumped at the chance.
What sets Roy apart isn’t just his technical expertise—it’s his philosophy. He’s passionate about doing good in the world through his skills in data and software, particularly in support of people managing chronic illness like HIV. He believes in being reliable, bringing clarity to undefined problems, and making every day brighter for the people around him. In his words: “If you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine.”
Known for his sharp thinking, clear communication, and people-first mindset, Roy bridges the gap between clinical teams and developers with ease. He brings a can-do attitude, deep empathy, and a collaborative spirit to every project.
