The Landscape Is Changing

Recent advances in HIV treatment and prevention are redefining what’s possible in patient care. For providers working within the Ryan White Program, these breakthroughs highlight a clear shift in what effective care will require. As treatment options grow more sophisticated, so too must the systems used to deliver and support them.

Innovations Leading the Way

Yeztugo: A New Option in Prevention

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved Yeztugo (lenacapavir), a novel HIV prevention injectable administered just twice annually. With nearly 100% efficacy in clinical trials, Yeztugo removes one of the biggest barriers to preventive care: daily adherence. For clients who struggle with routine pill schedules due to stigma, housing insecurity, or life instability, this long-acting injectable provides a more sustainable, less intrusive option.

CRISPR Gene Editing: Toward a Cure

Meanwhile, researchers in Amsterdam successfully used CRISPR-Cas gene editing to eliminate HIV DNA from infected human cells in a lab setting. Although this is far from a clinical treatment, the research goal is a future where we can fully eliminate the virus, rather than simply keeping it under control. A true cure. This could transform long-term treatment plans, reporting, and care coordination for providers.

What This Means for Providers

As advancements evolve, the expectations of government entities, compliance, patients, and providers will also evolve. Rapidly changing treatment models require smarter, more adaptive software. For example, providers will need to:

Track eligibility for long-acting injectables across funding cycles and patient populations.

Coordinate medication adherence over multi-month intervals.

Import, manage, and analyze lab data and treatment milestones from Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).

Adjust workflows and reporting tools as federal standards evolve.

How TriYoung Helps

That is where we come in. TriYoung is dedicated to empowering care providers through tailored technological solutions, ensuring you’re prepared to integrate these advances seamlessly:

Data Import System (DIS)

Securely import structured client data—including medications and lab results—from EMRs or other sources. This reduces manual entry, boosts accuracy, and promotes consistent data management. What used to take one or two full-time employees doing manual data entry can now be done in minutes.

Ryan White Integrated Statewide Eligibility (RWISE)

TriYoung excels at automating customizable eligibility logic to ensure clients remain eligible to receive services and maintain continuity of care. Our flagship application also helps ensure accurate, timely, and transparent data entry and management that captures all the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) data requirements. Our systems also facilitate care coordination across multiple providers by streamlining communication and data visibility.

Customized Reporting

Compliance can be challenging, but with TriYoung’s data management systems and customizable reporting, we empower providers with the information they need to make timely and relevant decisions that impact community health in the best way.
