David Fredrickson: A Life of Purpose and Innovation

David Fredrickson found a clear path to success at an early age. What began as a high school software coding class has evolved into a career marked by excellence and a commitment to lifetime learning.

David’s interest in software engineering peeked after landing a role as a military healthcare coordinator. In addition to his regular responsibilities, he spent time writing code and training fellow employees to make their jobs easier and more efficient. He eventually earned his bachelor’s in computer science. Throughout his academic career, David kept up his coding skills while working for an HVAC company.

Since onboarding with TriYoung in 2021, David spent two years building new tools from the ground up, including programs that support eligibility for Ryan White grant recipients. He reformed nearly twenty years of outdated data import processes by developing simple, modernized resources. David and his team invested an additional eight months into creating the new RWISE interface, replacing old code on the backend while enhancing the program’s look and capabilities.

David’s daily tasks are primarily focused on ensuring all TriYoung’s client management systems work properly, especially data entry processes that govern information access. This ties directly into the backend where David applies his expertise with dedicated efforts to continually improve security and functionality for end-users.

When issues arise, David springs into action, performing systems testing to discover root causes and apply long-term solutions—a process commonly known as debugging. Debugging is an intricate process that always starts with how IT systems should be functioning, where disruptions take place, and why the problem occurred. Once the challenge is on his plate, David remains persistent until his clients are satisfied with the results.

“I never throw in the towel on any project. When problems happen in our systems, I believe they’re all fixable.” – David F.

David’s highest priorities revolve around maintaining cutting edge network security while optimizing the end-user experience. Since 2021, he has played a key role in helping TriYoung improve client management services in every aspect of the organization. As a Full Stack Software Developer, he will continue to strive for innovative excellence.

Congratulations on your promotion, David!
